Thank you to all those who came to support the Curran Foundation’s recent Generation X event: Stress, Success and Happiness at the Tim Olsen Gallery. We had a capacity audience with the evening raising over $10,000 for our beneficiary project, the St Vincent’s Urban Mental Health Institute. As promised, we will be emailing you more information on suggested readings from both our guest speakers. So many of you enjoyed Professor Kay Wilhelm's clinical insights (like the Nun’s Study and Martin Seligman’s positive psychology) and We have already had enquiries in relation to ‘when we will be doing it all again’, a testament no doubt to these fascinating speakers, the important project and the good time had by all. We will keep you updated on developments with the St Vincent’s Urban Mental Health Institute and future events of this kind for the Curran Foundation. Thanks again for your interest and support. Best wishes,
The Curran Foundation Generation X Committee |

About the Curran Foundation The Paul and Elizabeth Curran Foundation was established in 1984 with the objective of providing a perpetual source of funding to foster advances and excellence in patient care, education and research on the St Vincent’s Hospital Campus in Darlinghurst, Sydney. The institutions on the Campus – St Vincent’s Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital and the Garvan Institute of Medical Research – have been responsible for many of the surgical and research breakthroughs in Australia while at the same time addressing the health needs of the underprivileged and marginalised in the local inner city community. The achievements of the St Vincent’s Campus can be credited to the many brilliant minds who have worked there and the spirit of compassion that is the legacy of the founding Sisters of Charity, however, many of these successes may never have been realised had it not been for community support and philanthropy. The Curran Foundation is proud to have provided over $10 million in grants to the Campus for vital equipment, research, clinical education initiatives and facilities that improve patient comfort while in hospital.
