The Paul and Elizabeth Curran Foundation was established in 1984 with the objective of providing a perpetual source of discretionary funding for the St Vincent’s Hospital Campus.
Initiated with a $500,000 donation from the late Paul and Elizabeth Curran, the Foundation has attracted committed and generous supporters whose donations have built the capital base to over $12 million. To date over $10.5 million in grants have been made to the St Vincent’s Campus including St Vincent’s Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital and the Garvan Institute of Medical Research.
The Foundation's grants have enabled the acquisition of vital medical,
surgical and diagnostic equipment for the public hospital as well
as supported research programs, clinical education initiatives and
facilities that improve patient comfort.
